Who can be a Guarantor?

A guarantor is someone who can provide a financial guarantee for a tenant’s obligations to a tenancy. They are responsible for ensuring that the rent is paid if the tenant is unable to do so.

An ideal guarantor should:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Not be named on the tenancy agreement (Not a tenant)
  • Be a UK citizen

If you are unable to provide a guarantor, you may consider using a guarantor service provider.
