Fun facts

Melanie Brown, also known as “Mel B” and “Scary Spice” grew up in Burley. After studying performing arts in Leeds, Melanie went on to become a songwriter and part of the famous girl band, Spice Girls.

Burley was the setting for the television drama, Harry’s Game. In the series, houses along Burley Road were portrayed to be ones situated in Belfast.
