Pickard announces the third phase of Spinning Acres

Pickard Properties is delighted to announce the third phase of its luxury build-to-rent development, Spinning Acres, which is situated in Far Headingley in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

This new phase, much like phase two, will appeal to the discerning young professional, the recent retiree, and those wishing to downsize without compromise.

Phase three of the £40m private rented sector (PRS) urban village development is called Cotton Works and is comprised of three exquisite one-bed apartments and three superb two-bed apartments, all housed within a late Victorian villa.

This beautiful Victorian villa, known originally as Burton Lea, offers stunning views onto ample green open space and mature trees.

Sympathetically renovated by multi-award winning architects, great care has been taken to retain many of the original features of this Victorian building, such as the stained glass entrance and staircase glazing.

The kitchens in the Cotton Works apartments are stylish and functional, British made by Callerton, and are fitted to two walls of the main living area. The heritage of the Victorian property is reflected in the fine materials used — including the quartz worktops, matt lacquered doors in a choice of navy blue or fjord blue, and antique oak doors.

The bathrooms are equally stylish — decorated in a brilliant white as a nod to the Victorian era, with Heritage fittings throughout.

Miles Pickard, director of Pickard Properties, explains the vision for Spinning Acres phase three:

“Cotton Works blends traditional architecture with a modern twist. The renovation and refurbishment of a building of this vintage requires a careful balance between successfully retaining the spirit and detail of the old while sensitively introducing the high end fixtures and fittings which today’s rental market demands.

“We are building a new community in this part of the city, with a two-acre village green at its heart. We want our renters to put down roots here. Located just three miles to the north west of Leeds city centre, they can have the best of both worlds – a job in the city, yet just a short distance away, they can enjoy the peace and relative seclusion of Spinning Acres, which has one of the most exclusive post codes in the city.”

Pickard Properties offers unfurnished and furnished rentals — with the cost of the rent being determined by which option you choose. Prices for a home in Cotton Works are between £750.00 per month (for a one-bedroom unfurnished apartment) and £985 per month (for a furnished two-bed apartment).

The show apartment will be available to view from Monday 17 June 2019, and we would recommend early viewing. Interest is very high in these award-winning properties, and most properties in phase one and two are now let.

This Far Headingley development will be completed by further phases in the near future, creating a unique and exclusive community of homes for those who do not want to commit to mortgages and ongoing maintenance costs.
